Our nation was formed as republican form of government. That means by which a state or federal government is ruled by the people through their elected representatives. It operates by the participation of the people in communities based on subsidiarity, communities small enough so that the people have a voice, but part of a larger group. That’s why we have representatives and senators. That’s why its called a republican form of government.
As described by ConstitutingAmerica.org, “Americans looked to their idealized and sentimentalized version of the Roman Republic with its Stoic virtues–and saw themselves: Simplicity of life, self-reliance, civic duty, and morality inculcated through education, religion, and, if necessary, law. What was true for the governed applied equally to the governors, who were selected by the former and would make law not for their self-interest or for their class or faction, but for the general good.
That is why Benjamin Franklin said to the person who asked him what form of government the founders gave us, "A republic if you can keep it."
We have lost all of that. Although we have kept the structure of a republic we have become a warped form of republican form of government that is more a socialist hierarchy hidden in the trappings (organization presence) of a republican form of governing. In other words, we did not keep the republic the founders gave us; we have poisoned that well and we are now in a tyranny form of governance where the government becomes a dictator that uses the courts to foster unconstitutional rulings that then become de facto law. Both political parties are playing their parts in this false front of a government, and the divide between them is who has power, not what is good for our nation. Our system given by our founders is not the wrong form of government, the corruption of it by the political parties is what is wrong. That is why we have formed the Serve God – Defend Liberty Movement.
As stated by Constitutingamerica.org, we formed our government based on morality, religion, education, simplicity of life, self-reliance, civic duty and as a last resort, law. In other words if the virtues stated above didn’t work, we would have limited law to fix what is broken. That is why the socialist/communist had to destroy all six of the virtues above and then corrupt the rule of law. Our form of government today breaks what is working and puts into laws governance that has corrupted the intent of our Constitution.
Our nation was founded in faith, so our actions most also be founded in faith. Unless our country returns to the faith in God that formed our nation and made us the beacon of hope and light throughout the world, we stand no chance of returning to the virtues on which we were built. And so our first must be to restore our nation’s trust in God and the beauty of the six virtues that formed us morality, religion, education, simplicity of life, self-reliance, civic duty; and then restore the rule of law. We have but one overall mission (Serve God – Defend Liberty). We each know our local situations and problems so we must apply the six founding virtues, of our nation’s founding principles to insure that our community, our state, and our nation returns to the One Nation Under God that the great men and women who founded us in faith and liberty fought and died to preserve.
Serve God & Defend Liberty Movement is an American faith led populist movement that believes that God is the creator of all and the only good moral gauge of right and wrong. This movement believes that all glory is to God and that the liberties proclaimed in our Declaration of Independence and preserved by our Constitution are those given by God to all of mankind.
This movement represents those who believe the Constitution is the law of the land, that the Bible is the Way, the Truth, and the Life for our Christian faith and formation of our Republic. That the words the Founders used to construct the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution are based on that truth and must guide our every effort and action. We also believe that government and fringe groups have removed faith and God from our society against the will of the majority of Americans. That these same groups who orchestrated the hate speech attacks on all things faith, then politicized the sacraments of the church to be used as political weapons against people of faith. This has made us an anti-God society, driven by hate, division, and the destruction of our country’s principles, morals, and ethics. That is why our nation seems down on its knees in surrender to the politically correct mob ready and willing to destroy all that is good.
The Serve God -Defend Liberty Movement will work to restore the true founding principles of our nation, It is faith led because if this movement is to be true to God and the principles of our founding, it must stay on a true and faithful path.
Here are the principles of the movement:
Faith in God’s truth is the spiritual center of our movement and the Bible and Constitution are the law of the land, and the means by which our liberties are preserved and society ordered.
Using the politically correct social issue of the day as a guideline for public policy creates a system of hate, division and destruction of all principles of our founding.
Politicizing Church doctrine and sacraments leads to tyranny against people of faith.
We are Republic and not a democracy. Placing our nation first is not against the world, it’s protecting our communities first, then helping the world. A house in ruins cannot serve the good. As a republic, the power rest in the people not government.
The Judiciary is not the final say on the Constitution. It is the people through their elected officials; not appointed ones. We are a government of the people, by the people and for the people. Not a government of the Judiciary or of lawyers. When we allow politicians & lawyers to control us in fear of being called a name; we have surrendered our government to tyranny. We must have a realigning of powers to reflect the Constitution. As Jefferson said to allow the unelected justices to rule over all other government and the people would be tyranny.
The two political parties have become a distinction without a difference. They no longer do the will of the people and they make laws that they are exempt from. Each law must be for all and must state the Constitution authority for is making. Also the courts must state the Constitutional authority for their rulings. If they can’t then they are illegal and not to be followed.
The Serve God - Defend Liberty Movement is not an organization, rather it is a coalition of groups and individuals that are working to restore our faith based culture, returning the power of our nation back into the hands of the governed, and working for honest and open discussion of ideas based on facts and truth, not persecution and condemnation.
We must show our country that the Church is loyal to God, faithful till the end, there to led and serve us and is a place of faith, healing, and love. We must show by our actions what Christian really means. We must foster and promote the Gospel. Then we can enter the public arena led by the Holy Spirit to fix our nation. To be faith led means our shepherds must lead us in this mission.
There will be different disciplines based not on politics but on the truths of those disciplines such as:
God is Sovereign and Religious Liberty the law of the land
The Bill of Rights protects individual rights of the people
Protecting Life from Conception to Natural Death
Medicine & Healthcare is between patient and doctor
Education K-20 is about education not indoctrination
Family and Parental Rights (which include Father’s Rights)
Community Safety
Preserving American production and history
Along with other issues our movement develops are political issues that we may select as a coalition such as:
Constitutional Liberties
Separation of Powers
Protecting the Integrity of voting.
Working with this new Populist Faith/Patriot Movement to develop Christian candidates for political office, Constitution/Civics/Citizenship training materials
Other issues that impact our Church and country.
The movement structure we will utilize is best broken into six key areas which can be leveraged for this effort:
Religion – Our Christian faith and religious liberty must be the basis of our actions and protected at all cost. The church must rally to this cause to Serve God and Defend Liberty and lead us in the effort.
Political – mobilizing and resourcing various individuals and groups to support these efforts; the point is to grow the movement
Pulling together our Allies.
Attacks – how do we leverage the head winds that are sure to come against us as we grow the movement?
Building an International component to this movement.
Nonviolent tactics – probably one of the big questions to answer is the level of “activism” this group intends to engage in. Being on the ground with the populists, led by the faith movement is going to be the key to informing events as they unfold; and to respond as Christian Patriots.
The Church of Jesus Christ must cleanse itself of false prophets and shepherds and return it to the true teachings of our Savior, not a prosperity, or politically correct, government inspired, water down gospel; but the one true Gospel of Jesus Christ. The people must vote out those in elected office that only serve their party and not the people who they represent.
If you have doubts that we are a nation formed on Christian values and principles let them read these quotes from our Founders and Mark Twain and Frederick Douglass.
George Washington1st U.S. President "While we are zealously performing the duties of good citizens and soldiers, we certainly ought not to be inattentive to the higher duties of religion. To the distinguished character of Patriot, it should be our highest glory to add the more distinguished character of Christian."
Thomas Jefferson3rd U.S. President, Drafter and Signer of the Declaration of Independence "God who gave us life gave us liberty. And can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are of the Gift of God? That they are not to be violated but with His wrath? Indeed, I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just; that His justice cannot sleep forever..." --Notes on the State of Virginia, Query XVIII, p. 237. "I am a real Christian – that is to say, a disciple of the doctrines of Jesus Christ." --The Writings of Thomas Jefferson,
Patrick Henry Ratifier of the U.S. Constitution "It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions, but on the gospel of Jesus Christ. For this very reason peoples of other faiths have been afforded asylum, prosperity, and freedom of worship here." --The Trumpet Voice of Freedom: Patrick Henry of Virginia, p. iii.
Frederick Douglass Statesman, social reformer, abolitionist. I have one great political idea, the best expression I have found in the Bible. It is in substance, righteousness exalts a nation, sin is a reproach to any people. That’s the whole of my politics, the positive and the negative of my politics.
Mark Twain, Colliers magazine, September 2, 1904 "It will be conceded that a Christian's first duty is to God. It then follows, as a matter of course, that it is his duty to carry his Christian code of morals to the polls and vote them. Whenever he shall do that, he will not find himself voting for an unclean man, a dishonest man.
If Christians would vote their duty to God at the polls, they would carry every election, and do it with ease. Their prodigious power would be quickly realized and recognized, and afterward there would be no unclean candidates upon any ticket, and graft would cease. If the Christians of America could be persuaded to vote God and a clean ticket, it would bring about a moral revolution that would be incalculably beneficent. It would save the country."
