PRAY FOR YOUR ENEMIES

10/6/2025

Dear Holy Priests of Jesus Christ,

Father Richard Heilman said this in his article, “The Greatest Battle,”

Dr. Peter Kreeft wrote: ‘You cannot win a war if you are unwilling to admit we are even at war, or you don’t know who your enemy is, or you don’t know what strategy your enemy is using."

With this in mind, let’s do some RECON.

Unless you’ve been living in a cave or have some special super-power for tuning out the realities of the world, you understand that the past 6+ years have been historically brutal.

Personally, I believe it is impossible to dismiss the significance of this time period, and how it aligns with the 100 years of Satan from October 13, 1917, through to October 13, 2018 (to conclude the 100 years).

Yes, the years from 2018 to 2025 have been marked by a historically  high number of major, interconnected global crises, causing significant social, political, economic, and humanitarian disruptions. Will we ever forget being locked out of our churches? It’s as though Satan was not about to go down without a fight. And, what a fight he has put forth.

Whether anyone wants to believe it or not, we are living through the greatest battle of spiritual warfare in the 2,000-year history of our Church. This has much to do with the advent of high-speed information. And there is no question that the vast majority of influencers in our culture are in league with the devil, as they promote everything that diametrically opposes the will of God.

But, here is the good news! It is becoming more and more apparent that, in Satan’s last-ditch (post-100 years) effort to exert his power and seize control, his diabolical over-reach has awakened sleeping souls to stand against such unprecedented horrors and return to their faith. Yes! Reports are coming in from everywhere that young people, especially young men, are experiencing conversions and coming home to the Lord!

In this Jubilee Year of Hope, do we now dare to hope that this momentum of conversions extends even to our enemies? Jesus called us to just such a hope:
“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven.” -Matthew 5:43-45.

This is the will of God. In confronting evil, we begin with prayer. Don’t we know that some of the greatest sinners became some of God’s greatest saints? With God, all things are possible!

To accomplish this task of praying for the conversion of our enemies, we propose that all priests who feel so inclined, offer a Mass for those sinners who are trying to destroy the Church, our nation, and our moral cultural way of life. Priests can offer this Mass for individuals who are leading the assault against God, and priests can pray for the organizations that were created by this assault and spawned for but one goal: To destroy Christianity.

If you feel called to join us in this effort all you need to do is to offer your Mass in private or in public, calling for the reclamation of the souls of these individuals and the closing of their organizations and their efforts to destroy the Church and our nation. Think of the power that God will bring to bear on these sinners to change their hearts; and the strength he will give to us to win this spiritual war.

"You have never begrudged the martyrs their triumph but rather trained them for it. And so I
am asking you to be consistent with the lessons you teach them. Just beg for me the courage and endurance not only to speak but also to will what is right, so that I may not only be called a Christian, but prove to be one. For if I prove myself to be a Christian by martyrdom, then people will call me one, and my loyalty to Christ will be apparent when the world sees me no more. Nothing you can see is truly good. For our Lord Jesus Christ, now that he has returned to his Father, has revealed himself more clearly. Our task is not one of producing persuasive propaganda; Christianity shows its greatness when it is hated by the world." —St. Ignatius of Antioch.
